Start Your Year with a Vision Board

Year-end is a great time to reflect. 📆

Are you where you want to be? Did you accomplish what you had set out to achieve during the past year?

If you answered yes to either, or both, of those questions, CONGRATULATIONS! Give yourself a pat on the back.

But if you honestly aren’t where you want to be at this phase of your life or you fell short of accomplishing the goals you had set for yourself last year, don’t despair! You are not alone.

There is nothing as promising as opening up your brand-new planner for the upcoming year and making that first entry! The year is new and fresh, open to countless possibilities. My favorite is by bloom Daily Planners; learn more about why I love this planner so much and pick up a shopping discount code right here on the Bloom Blog.

Bloom with Bec's Vision Board Example

One of the first entries in your planner for 2023 should be to sit down and work on a VISION BOARD for yourself.

Not familiar with a vision board or why it’s important? Well, it’s a visual representation, or reminder, of your goals, ideals, dreams, and intentions for the future! Having a physical board that you look at on a regular basis keeps your goals and dreams in the forefront of your mind! It helps to keep you focused! It helps you stay motivated! 🙋‍♀️

Some tips for creating your vision board:

1️⃣Download my free vision board workbook if you haven’t already.

2️⃣Plan a time for yourself, preferably when you have a few available hours, in a fun and creative environment to work on creating your board.

3️⃣Think ahead about topics, quotes, words, affirmations, images, etc. that you’d like to include on your board. A little pre-planning can really help.

4️⃣ Invite a few friends to join you! Find a vision board making party, or host one yourself.

5️⃣ Set the tone: uplifting music, great lighting, tasty snacks can’t hurt!

6️⃣ Gather your supplies ahead of time. Here are some of my essentials: Magazines (the more the merrier), scissors, glue or double-sided tape, markers, stickers, and I recommend a foam board to actually create your vision board on.

7️⃣Bring a positive mindset and have fun! 🥰

There really is no right or wrong way to make a vision board. I have been hosting vision board making workshops for a few years now and frequently make them with coaching clients at my weekend retreats. I have seen it all! You want the board to be appealing to you! If you prefer to cover every inch of the board, go for it! Others prefer a sparser vibe. Some will only use images, while others will completely cover theirs with motivating words and affirmations. Do what makes you happy, what will encourage you!

Visualizing the life you want is the first step at creating it!

I’d love to see a photo of your completed vision board! Email me a photo of your board or post a picture and tag me on social media (@bloomwithbec or Bec Martin on FB).
